2008 Science Course of Study

Our educational focus changed somewhat recently. I was trying to save money by writing my own lesson plans on nearly every subject. The lessons were basically designed to use existing materials that we had around the house and the vast variety of lesson plans available on the internet.

I created some incredible materials. I had flash cards, beautiful journal pages, or worksheet pages to go with everything and then our computer crashed. I lost hundreds of hour worth of work. Tip: Back-up regularly.

Another problem is that I was spending too much time writing lessons, and that took away from quality teaching team. So we finally invested in some courses in nearly every every subject. We are jumping into our new science courses mid-year. Here is what we are studying for the remainder of the year.
