Great words to learn and remember. We love birds and live in a house that we call a treehouse. We watch the birds at the tops of trees straight from our house. Do you know what kind of birds we have in New Zealand?

I love your blog. Our kindergarten has a blog. Sometime we (the teachers) post children’s stories on the blog, and sometime the children tell us “Can we blog this?”. Check it out sometime.

Happy Birthday to you! It was my birthday on Sunday, but I am just four. I liked learning about birds’ feet. They look funny! I live in south Florida and there are many herons in the lake behind my house. I never saw a Cassowary before!

Thanks for answering me, McKayla. I like Siamese cats! My breed of cat is called Devonshire Rex (or just Devon Rex for short). This breed has curly or wavy fur! Thanks for saying I am a cute cat. I am looking forward to your next article.

Sam,

Thank you for contributing to McKayla’s education, and pointing her to additional sources of information. Her report came after watching a video on polar bears and was her first exposure to the fact that man can help animals that are could be in danger of extinction. She’ll be reporting her additional findings here on this blog.

This teacher, mom, has her own beliefs that more closely match those of Bjorn Lomborg which she will naturally be exposed to. And has the belief that while man has contributed to global warming, it is also part of the natural cycle of things. It is my hope is to turn her into a “deep thinker” which we agree there are certainly not enough of. In fact, that one topic drives my fifteen year old son nuts. He wonders how come so many kids his age can be such shallow thinkers. But that is a topic for another blog.
